Bed Bugs: Itchy and troublesome
Adult Bed Bugs are about 4-5 millimeters in length, similar to an apple seed. Younger ones are known as nymphs normally about size of a pin head. Females can lay 1-5 eggs a day in dark cracks and crevice. On an average that can become up to 5000+ in 6 months or less. They tend to lay eggs in the creases of mattresses and box springs; this is their closest source to warmth, blood (food source) and carbon dioxide.
People tend to think they are attracted to unclean environments, when in fact they just like warm, blood and carbon dioxide. However clutter makes for a good hiding source for them to reproduce and continue to thrive.
